Meet Your 2024 London MC 🎤

posted on August 7, 2024 by Emilie Lashmar

We’re so excited to announce that Freddie Fforde, the Founder and Managing Director of Patch, a B Corp operating neighbourhood spaces for work and community, will be the MC for GCUC UK London this October! Patch is supported by a leading cast of investors including the founders and exCEOs of PureGym, Wagamama, Jack Wills and Innocent Drinks amongst others.

Freddie’s Work Near Home vision to revitalise high street spaces for work and public events is a shining example of successful collaboration with both private and public sector partners, boosting local economies and increasing economic and cultural opportunity beyond city centres.

At Patch, Freddie oversees commercial and operational functions with the mission of increasing access to opportunities based on individual potential, not just location. With a background in start-ups, Freddie is passionate about leveraging technology to bring people together.

Under his leadership, Patch has established vibrant neighbourhood workspaces in Chelmsford, High Wycombe, Twickenham, and soon in the former Bobby’s building in Bournemouth town centre. The ambition is to be on every UK high street, with more sites to be announced soon.

“There is no doubt that the future is flexible, in working patterns as much as every area of life that technology continues to proliferate. Whilst some debate the data, Patch and others are responding quickly to a clear and stubborn demand for a sector that responds to today’s needs. GCUC UK is an important opportunity to co-ordinate tomorrow’s leadership towards a common goal of improving the quality of provision in our growing sector to meet this demand effectively. I am honoured to be asked to participate”
